The lads finished on Saturday and floor tiles grouting keeps cracking.

so they finished the floor on Thursday. Grout cracked on Friday.

finished grout Saturday morning and missus walked on it 30 hours later and it cracked. Is this uneven surface?

    is there a fix?

If it cracked when walked on it sounds like the tiles were layed on an uneven surface or the adhesive didn't set/not enough was used. Hopefully it's only one or two and they can be lifted and replaced.

Is it tiled on timber floor or concrete? If on timber did they put down any cement board or something similar before tiling for support? Any pictures of the cracking/floor?

The centre line is where all the cracking is happening.

That's rough. See the thread linked to above. They need to prep the floor properly and use flexible adhesive and grout. It'll have to be ripped up and re-done. Hope you haven't paid the full balance yet. Also looks the grout wasn't mixed properly or not applied properly. There are gaps/holes in it, is as well as cracks.

Looks to me like that's where the grout was moving just after application/curing. I'd guess they saw the cracks coming up as they applied it. 🙄

I'd be getting them back - there is no way that's acceptable. The existing flooring needs to be overlaid with additional support and well screwed down into the joists.

Unfortunately I have paid in full well bar 150 quid. He’s not really responding to me now. Thing is I know some of his associates. This would be unwise not to come back and repair.

The job was what we thought essentially finished hence why I paid. 😒
