    With telcos being hit worldwide, is a massive cyber attack on the Eir network now almost inevitable?

    I imagine there are ongoing multiple attempts by criminals on the likes of Eir. And their systems have proved robust enough to repel them. Not the sort of thing they would make public.

    Clueless staff who'd click on any auld thing..check


    Management trying desperately to cut costs..check


    Network filled with cheap Chinese backdoored hardware..check


    Sys admins who don't give a fcuk coasting along till retirement..check



    Only a matter of time

    Well I only rent a landline from that lot and given that it crackles as you talk, I can't imagine a cyber attack doing much extra damage.
