Why isn't Irish country music more popular in Dublin?

You never hear it on the Dublin radio stations, some Irish country artists popular in other places rarely play Dublin. I'd say most of us Dubs would only know the big names like Nathan Carter.

Probably something got to do with the "country" bit.

Not too popular here in Limerick city either.

I think Clare has a few well-known country artists such as Clodagh Lawlor.

It's produced mainly for people who enjoy social dancing and jiving. I suspect that's more common in rural areas and so it might not be as widely known in urban areas.

Why isn't riding your cousin more popular in Dublin OP?

Compared to the likes of Offaly etc?

Perhaps it's because she doesn't go there that often? You should tell her to go up more often.
