Where to buy Ants

I have checked online, amazon and pet shops in Dublin and cannot find anywhere that sells Ants for an ant farm. I bought some years ago with no issues, but seems to be impossible now?!

Ideally looking for a queen + colony.

I used the search function and nothing recent there either.

https://www.facebook.com/SpinnenKandte sells them and you'll likely get them at the European reptile/exotic shows. If you give Eddie in Reptile Hunters in Northern Ireland a ring/pm on FB he would likely be able to pick you some up as he does couriering from the shows, theres one on the 11th next month so id let him know soon tbh.

My son orders from a chap in the UK, I can ask him for the details when he gets home

Hasn't had any issues with them arriving by post.

Incidentally there's an ant convention this year as well.

Heres a shop with some too, they go to the shows too afaik so you could get Eddie I mentioned or theres others I could put you in touch with who'd likely be able to bring them back. Inverts can be posted to you but getting them picked is possible too.
