    Any hack here in making this look more presentable?

    Original part is long gone.

    Epoxy a strong piece of white plastic onto it. Matching the curve will be the problem though, plus the epoxy will need a good rough surface to adhere to.

    You could also try two bolts either side to support the new handle.
