Mortgage drawdown before house completion

    Hello

    As the title says it; can someone drawdown a mortgage after signing the contracts but without having the property completed by the developer yet? For example, if someone has paid the down payment, signed the contract and the property would be available after couple of months, can they discuss this with their solcitir and drawdown the mortgage?

    Would the bank allow such thing to happen? assuming that mortgage and property insurance would be settled?
