Many thanks for your response. Any other site that you could recommend for a version that would give me a step by step guide to tidy the tool up and put it in good working order. Not very tech savvy unfortunately. Very grateful for your contribution,

If you are trying to service the tool yourself try You tube. There are plenty of videos showing you how to do this. If the tool is still under their service scheme then Hilti will service it for you. I have a lazer they stopped servicing in 2020 and now trying to find someone to look at it. Hilti is a bit of a closed shop on their products!!
