We are an Irish SME and due to increased UK business, we would like to have a UK based mobile telephone number. Is it possible to purchase a virtual UK mobile number and redirect calls / messages to an Irish mobile number? or any advice on how to cost effectively have a UK mobile phone (ideally without two handsets) would be welcome.

Get a dual SIM mobile and buy a UK SIM (pay as you go).

I do this, and have a UK mobile number in addition to my regular Irish number, both accessed in the same phone.

I was lucky to get a great PAYG deal from O2 UK. I bought the SIM in Newry.

Many of the telecoms providers offer regionalised/localised numbers and full routing capabilities. No more messing with SIM's.

Phone this crowd and see what capabilities they have for SMB.
