SERIOUS DRUMMER WANTED. Guitar driven 70s/80s rock band forming 2023. MEATH environs (See VIDEO).

Colm and Kevin. We are two seasoned old school rock guitarists (aged 60ish) who connected via BOARDS.IE in 2022. Based in Slane, Co. Meath for rehearsal purposes, we are both influenced by 70s/80s guitar driven rock music. We need a "like minded" experienced drummer. The below "utube videos" (Dec 2022 rehearsal session) will give you an insight into the individuals involved, genre, possible song choices and the guitar playing and maybe we can find a likeminded technical DRUMMER to join us. The band is only forming right now and is planned as a 5 piece .. ie, DRUMS, GUITAR, BASS, KEYS, VOCALIST.

As you can deduce from the videos, it's obviously not a band as yet, but rather a GUITAR PLAYER plus BASS PLAYER with a NOTION of putting together a GUITAR DRIVEN ROCK/POP BAND with good technical players. The key issue is to find "like minded" people who can and want to play this style/genre of music ! Restricting material to 70s 80s is NOT written in stone.

Our ambition is to complete a full 5 piece line up by the end of May 2023 !

When are the both of you heading to slane studios again?..

We hope to get going by the end of next month .... ie., latter part of March 2023 for a full day session (eg. a Saturday or Sunday) in SLANE STUDIOS Co. Meath. We plan a jam session with one or two like minded drummers (to replace our drum machine).

The SET LIST (per the videos above) as a rock pop guitar driven covers band reads as shown hereunder. All tracks will be heavily guitar driven with the exception of those marked * below. We feel that an audience might need a break from guitar overdrive during the set as contrast ... with some degree of "easy listening" TOTP charting songs (light guitar) intermittent during the gig/performance.

This is just a suggested start up SET scenario (guideline set list x 10) and the rest of the set to be completed when the band line up is finalised.
