The engine in my 192 car was replaced with a new engine under manufacturer warranty. If I wanted to sell the car what difference would this make to the sale?

Although it is a positive, a lot of people who haven’t a clue about buying cars will view it as a negative. If you have all the receipts for it you should mention it in person and not on the add.

Assuming it was put in by a dealer with receipts and still under warranty it wouldn't put me off

It would have me thinking why did it need replacing, and will the replacement suffer the same fate, its like one guy in the EV forum talking about how good Tesla model S are, then you learn from him that it had 4 battery replacements under warranty.

Same guys are then selling the ''fantastic'' cars with 6 months left on the warranty, if it was me I would be selling also.

I'd see no reason to mention it unless asked. It was done under warranty by the manufacturer, its actually a bonus for the new owner. Loads of cars have significant warranty work done that is never mentioned when selling.

If it was put in last month then I’d be cautious, if it was replaced by a dealer years ago and its still working then it’s a plus.

If trading in then I wouldn’t even mention it.

    Positive for me.

Was hoping it would be a positive. A car with 60k km less on the engine, but it wouldn't be known unless pointed out to a potential buyer. I wouldn't bother unless it was a definite plus.
