Hi lads, looking for some advice. Looking at 2020 Skoda Fabia 1.0 tsi or Hyundai i20 1.2 . Had a preference for the Skoda but reading that the TSI engine doesn't have a good reputation? Any thoughts?

The 1.0 TSI has a good reputation. It’ll also be way nicer than the Hyundai engine, a lot more torque.

The old model Fabia is pretty joyless though, are these your only options?

I think they are both expensive for what you are getting to be honest.

A brand new Hyundai i10 should do everything the Fabia or i20 will do for the same or less money.

5 year warranty and aa roadside.

Spacious interior for its size with 5 seatbelts, handles well and very good on fuel.

would be smart to avoid the overpriced 2nd hand market- not offering good value at the moment in my opinion.

We have a i10 for 3 years now and very happy with it. Worth watching some reviews on YouTube.

A new €17k Dacia Sandero with aircon and CarPlay is hard to argue against.

Even a posher one with reverse camera, cruise control, a turbo etc will be under €19500 which in todays market is very good.
