    Evening all

Beginner question I'm afraid !. One of our hardwired smoke alarms beeping - believe the backup battery gone. I need to replace - and get the cover off. Can anyone tell me how to remove cover to get to the battery ?. I've tried twisting but maybe too gently - I don't want to force/damage it.

    Thanks, K

    Try this

Usually there’s a tab to release and the unit will either twist or slide off.

(not an electrician, only going on the ones I’ve had)

Might better do a google search for a video for how to remove it by rotating it as site wont allow the link
