    Watched it again last night for the first time since it came out. I thought it was excellent. Forget Ross O’Carroll Kelly - I don’t know of a better portrayal of that affluent, D4 set than WRD.

    Abrahamson’s latest success was with Normal People, which had the same naturalistic, low-energy cinematography and lingering close-up shots forcing the viewer to imagine the characters’ thoughts. But I think he did the same thing better ten years ago.

    Yet I feel it’s fallen into obscurity. Shame it hasn’t left a greater mark on the Irish cultural landscape.
