Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Normally have zero issue with channels

RTE1 & 2 and the other ones were a little glitchy

Poked around at the wires and now can only get rte 2, virgin 1, 2 and tg4

    RTE 1, +1 and rte 2+1 missing

Could it be a cable issue? Do I need to cut come off and make a new connection?

Not sure if Im even phrasing this correctly but any help appreciated

This is generally a signal issue, missing frequency/mux.

Could be an aerial/cable or connection problem.

Starting with the aerial, is it indoors, attic or roof?

Quickest thing to check is the connection to the TV/wall connection etc., is it fully in, is the connector intact/ properly made?

After that any amplifier or splitters between aerial and TV? Check connections.

Other TVs connected to the aerial?

    Its outside, on the roof

I thought it might be something to do with connectors, wiggling the cable seems to stop interference and signal improves

The end of the cables has some fine silver fibers sticking out of the side, when rubbed these do interfere

Do I need to cut these fibers or get more of them by making a new cut on the wire either end and attaching the connections again?

Could they have worn? wouldnt have been touched in years-apart from when moving to improve signal

Thanks so much, never realised the interference those extra wires can cause!

Those braid wires, don't remove them completely, they must be in contact with the outer part of the co-ax plug, wrapped under the metal clamp. They must be not touch the inner core wire.

I'm on the south coast and I too was missing those channels the night before last. I figured it was interferance as the channels are usually rock solid unless signals are making their way over from Wales and the West Country.

Lads only got round to fixing this today.

It was the small outside braid wires not being tucked back around that little clamp.

I've been using it wrong for years, dunno I got anything to work!

    Thanks again for your help
