Have had trouble with water getting trapped between plasterboard and airtight membrane in two houses , 1st house all skim coat had to be striped back as it didn’t take to the ceilings that had membrane on , the others were perfect, 2nd house layer of water trapped between plasterboard and membrane and has made plasterboard damp and screws are pulling true and will all have to be pulled down, should ceilings be counter battened to prevent moisture getting trapped? As moisture can not get true barrier

Confirm your email address so you can post properly, and then I'll move this to a forum that's actually related to the topic instead.
