Officers recognized the homeless man during a service call and proceeded to handcuff him, but rather than book him into jail, they drove 6 miles with the emergency lights on into a secluded area and beat the snot out of him until he was unconscious and abandoned him without his cuffs.
An off duty police officer walking his dog spotted the man walking away from the incident after he woke up who called 911 and triggered an internal investigation. A third person was arrested who tried to pay the victim $1000 to sign a false affidavit that exonerated the officers, but the man is illiterate.
Police culture continues to prove it is institutionally broken. Officers clearly feel enabled to carry out whatever justices they imagine.
