Hi, what's people's thoughts on the nutrient value of spreading Slurry in late Jan versus late Feb?

I'd try leaving it as long as I could to get into the better ground conditions and raised ground temps. As the ground would dry off from the winter rain and the temperature increase then so would the nutrient uptake.

In terms of nutrients I would think that there would be increased chance of nutrients leeching out in wet conditions. How much would depend on many factors relating to the ground conditions and such like.

The only folk I'd see spreading in Jan would be those tight of storage space.
