    Can anyone recommend a company for a water softener and installation for a 4 bed house in Meath?

    I would recommend EWT. Myself and quite a few people from our estate have them. Installation was fairly quick, nice and clean.

    The one installed at my house is EWT dual with water filter and softner. There was no drop in water pressure after installation. I could see the difference in the water quality.

    Yes, I do. It is fitted to the mains water. So, any water used in the house will be first pass through the water softner first and then in to the house.

    On a side note but related. The price of 25kg of salt is gone through the roof. Not so long ago I could buy a bag for 6.50 now it's almost 20 a bag in places!! Why the huge increase?
