    Hey Guys

I'm interested in a used M3 RWD LFP. When were these introduced on the Irish Market?

What would a fair price be for a 1 year old example bearing in mind a new one can be bought now for around 45K with metallic paint?

    Thanks!

Introduced December 2020, but some older models made it as far 211 registrations. You can tell by the absence of chrome around windows that it is the LFP model (55kWh) up to Dec 2021, and thereafter the 60 kWh with the slightly slower acceleration (well, still fast) of 6 sec to 100 which is your 221 and 222 RWD that you are looking for. Gavin Tobin has a 2022 RWD for sale in white on the FB EV owners group page. Fair price for a 222 would be 39-42k range imo. You won't see many good prices until the first batch of Model Ys is about to be delivered, I think.

Thanks for the info. So all chrome deletes with the updated interiors are LFP?

Easier to say all 221/222 have the LFP battery, the in-car screen shows what battery is installed in case of any doubt

Like slave1 said, check the in-car screen or check the VIN online. There are some, not many, 202 chrome delete cars with the older NCA battery, made in the USA not China. If you want the full size 60kWh LFP battery, stick to 221 onwards.

Just to add to the confusion, I think towards the end of 2021 there was the 60kWh LFP with the more powerful older motor..🙂.

Shhhh. That's the one I want! (In reality, still have to convince the better half, plus I don't commute via car anyway these days). A few boardsies have the unicorn model, I recall. Best of both worlds.

Yep - one Unicorn owner here (Q4 2021 model, LFP ~60kWh and the older motor).

Another thing to look out for in the second hand Model 3 is that the models made after November 2022, if I recall, don't have USS (proximity sensors / beeps) because Tesla promises to mimic the functionality using only the cameras.

Can swap for a LEAF :)

This software / AI substitution for proven hardware game is getting farcical. Next it will be the onboard speaker hassling pedestrians to ask directions and ask them whether it is a soft day or not (slow wiper setting), voice activated door handles, etc.

Trying to get up to speed on the various model 3 iterations myself at the moment.

Does checking the vin online give all info in terms of battery type, motor size and other specs?

Am I correct in saying a dechromed model includes the heatpump?

    Cheers.

    Thanks for the info everyone.

So any nice clean 221/222 models for sale at sensible money?

Admin: should be merged with the general Model 3 thread.

It's all in the original thread, but yes and yes. Check the vin on tesla-info.com

Can you imagine the confusion in the used car market in the years ahead. Will be some craic talking to sales staff especially for those who have not researched the car to death before engaging

Theres no confusion, all thats needed is the photo of the "Additional Info" in the car's screen.
