Just a quick query, been trying to find out is there any customs charges (besides the paperwork) in bringing in second hand tipper lorries from the UK ? Maybe will buy at auction. Have not done so since Brexit rules came into force 01/01/21. I don't think there is but just looking to check. Have contacted revenue, waiting from reply from them.

Presently 22% duty on tippers being imported from the UK. Brought in two 2015's before Christmas and that was the rate. There are a few exceptions but you will have to pay some sort of duty.

If you can buy keenly there is value to be had but the duty is a significant issue. If the UK is facing a recession there will be plenty of tippers and construction gear in the auctions.
