Can't add attachment to yahoo email message

    Whenever I try and send an email from my yahoo account from my PC using both Chrome, Firefox & even Internet Explorer, I can't attach any files to the email.

    Where the attachment should be, a red "X" symbol appears in it's place.

    What could be causing this issue? Any ideas for a fix?

    What size is the file? Limit is 25MB on Yahoo.

    File is 3.29MB.

    Also, I should mention that I can send the email with the attachment using yahoo mail on my phone, but the red X appears using my email on PC.

    Please move on to a more secure email provider. Yahoo is spam central!

    Just in case it may assist any other reader having the same issue (the last message here being from some time ago):

    If the attachment is less than 25mg in size it ought to be accepted for sending.
    Try making a new email and attaching the file again, but be patient in case you may cause the attaching to fail by inadvertently cancelling the upload. Remember it can take some time to become attached.

    Alternatively, Mediafire is a "Cloud" to which you can upload your file (the service is free for a certain amount of data - something like the first 12 GB). Once you have uploaded your file there, you can right-click the file to choose to copy their link for it, and then you include that link in an email or other communication, to your friend. Your friend doesn't have to log in, but simply clicks on the link you have given them to choose to download your file. Other similar Cloud services are available.
