Exploring options for day two of my wedding in the Donegal town area for later this year. I’m not local to the area, so I would appreciate any recommendations or ideas for venues

I think you need to give a bit more detail. What does day two involve? Is there to be another ceremony, meal, party? Numbers? Type of venue - quiet pub for a few friends/large place with live band? Close friends and family only or lots of people of different ages and tastes?

Thanks for the response. I would say it would be a quieter place to have informal drinks and chat to people for couple of hours. Perhaps a bbq or area for food and nibbles. Number of between 15-20 people of close friends and mostly family. Thanks!

If you want somewhere quieter that also does food, I'd say Pier 1 on Quay St.

A few yards up from there is McCafferty's Bar that IIRC has a food van out the back. It's probably the busiest pub in town though is quite big with different sections.

Other mentions would be Olde Castle Bar and maybe O'Donnell's both on/near the Diamond and do food.

If your group are into trad music, then The Reel Inn is a stone's throw from the Castle Bar. They don't do food AFAIK.
