Met Eireann App issues

Is anyone else having issues with getting notifications from the Met Eireann App on android?

I am not getting the notifications for the warnings ever though I have subscribed to them.

I go into the app itself and turn on notifications.

    However when I go into

    Notifications

    and then app notifications

the Met Eireann app is not listed and the other apps are.

I have tried deleting the app and adding it again and tried restarting.

I know this might be more of an android issue but that forum doesn't seem to get much traffic and because it is a weather app I thought someone here might have had similar issues and found a solution.

I have met eireann under app notifications

I remember having a similar problem when I got my current phone as I did a copy across from my old one.

I 'think' what I did was go to Apps - Met Eireann- Storage - then Clear Cache and Clear Data.

    Then uninstall and re-install it

    Hi CrowededHouse.

Thanks for that - I tried that but unfortunately it did not work.

    Any other thoughts appreciated.

Same problems here. Set a yellow alert for all counties all weather types, and have received no notifications whatsoever to my phone in the last few days.

Same here. I used to get them I'm sure, but nothing recently. Upgraded to Android 13 and a new phone in the meantime so either might be the issue, or maybe no connection at all.

Haven't got a weather alert in a very long time. That, plus the rainfall radar which, if you try to slide the slider, does not give you the rainfall at the time you're looking for, as well as the location which never ever seems to work, the app is pretty poor. They seemed to get it to 95% functionality and give up.

Just to add, this issue is with an IPhone for me.

The notifications aren't working for me either, on 2 separate devices.

Does anyone know how to remove (or re-order) the locations you have entered in the App?

When I open the rainfall radar, I have three locations listed - I've finally copped that it defaults to the first in the list, which is Ballincollig in Cork (gawd only knows why I ever picked that!).

I have to reset it every single time to Dublin (where I spend most of my time).

I've searched and can't find any settings, or any option to edit/remove the useless locations.

Do I need to just switch it off and switch it back on again? (ie uninstall)

ETA it's actually Bishopstown - I don't even know where that is!! 🙄

there's no option in the app to manage locations so easiest to clear app's storage & cache... on android, long press on the app icon, open app information, storage & cache, clear both
