    Are you supplying materials?

Got a few quotes last year for a job. ( 3 quotes)

Creosoted posts 4m apart . High tensile wire . King post each end and as required ( bends , big dips etc)

    2 strands from €2.50 to €3.20 a meter

    3 strands @ €3.10 / m

He's standing on for this year at that price.

Completely ott, but that was the required spec.

Seems very ott alright. I’ve most of my electric fence posts at 12 metres apart, very handy for spreading fertiliser too, you’re always just aiming for the next stake.

That sounds cheap depending on stakes and is that a plus or including vat price.Per 100m you would need roughly 190 for stakes.3 strands is over half a roll HT at 75 so another 35 euro roughly .Add in eggs, gate handles as required and insulators along with a few end posts and turners at bends and materials would easily hit 2.50 per meter. All thats vat included.

Don't forget labour and perhaps a bit of profit. Its not a lot of work depending on layout of fences esp if its all long runs but a stake at 4m is "slightly" over doing it for electric.

Wire is up to 95 now for a roll. 6 for a 2m length of insultube, the junior angle grinder is going to be out cutting insulators off old balls of wire. Anyone price stakes lately? Will be cutting my own out of the forestry. Is it true creosote is being banned this year?

    Yea going by April

6 foot creosote hexagons 10 euro

8 foot creosote hexagons 28 euro

Tanalised machine finish with 15 year guarantee

    7 euro. And 26 euro.

2 different co ops in this area.
