I live in a converted house comprised of small studios. Whenever my neighbour uses his taps, a foul odor seems to make its way into my apartment. It's been happening a while now so I know it's not just a coincidence. Thanks.

Check the connections after the waste water traps in your sinks. Between trap and where waste pipe enters the wall or floor.
