Gas Boiler Replacement Advice needed

Hi ,I recently bought a house that was too big for us but we wanted to stay in the area etc ,its 3000 square foot . The boiler is in a detached garage from the house (around 20 meters away ) and costing a fortune to run even just for hot water as we barely use it for heating because there are stoves in the house . the last bill had 4470kwh which is for hot water and cooking. i imagine that this is high but its my first time having gas so i have nothing to compare it to

The current boiler (see pics ) is a commercial boiler and i think would be worth changing for a more domestic set up. I've had some plumbers look at it where one says i would have to move the whole setup from the garage into the house as i am losing too much heat with the underground pipes ,another plumber says i should just replace whats there in the remote location as the pipes are well insulated and a third plumber said there is nothing I can do.

Id love some advice and even consensus based on the above and the pictures of my setup . Also moving the boiler into the house would require running a new gas line to where the pipes enter the house plus some structural reconfig. There is no copper cylinder or immersion in the house itself

Any advice would be really really appreciated

    D

That boiler will come to the end of its life, probably sooner rather than later so you will have to do something.

I like your idea to move it into the house. its all going to cost because of the issues outlined.

if you don’t come up with a plan to replace it during summertime, then it will fail during winter time and you will just have to replace it in a hurry in its current location.

obviously you have to get a plumber on board with your plan.
