DIY Photovoltanic panels

Hi All,

I'm planning to add additional string to my installation (one string installed on house roof - 8 panels -3.36kWp) on shed roof.

Shed is around 15m from house (i presume this is not a problem), thee is a space for 4 panels.

Question:

As i mentioned above i presume there is no problem with distance from inverter installed at home to new string (around 15m).

Also looking for recommendation for a reliable shop which will deal with private buyer - not trader.

No problem at all @domeld

4 panels in series is enough to go above the starting voltage of a string on any inverter spec I've seen with modern panels. Not so sure about which companies still deal with the public, solartricity no longer do. Did you try midsummer.ie?

I'm going to call them tomorrow. Its hard to find any company which is selling to private users.
