    Hello all,

Are there any groups for newly out or thinking of coming out. I have found it hard to get support and also to meet others in similar situation or newly out etc. I know there are meet ups for lgbtq+s and most are Dublin based. Going to start going to some but just wondering are there groups for newly out and are there lgbtq+s groups in Wicklow of any kind?

    Thanks so much.

    Its very limited in Wicklow

Theres a few youth groups and thats mostly it.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Yeah

Ok - I'll throw a few things out there

Theres almost nothing really in Wicklow apart from youth groups in Bray and Arklow and Wicklow Pride group

LGBT Ireland has a monthly first out peer support group

First Out Peer Support Group for Gay and Bisexual Men, Thu, Feb 2, 2023, 7:00 PM | Meetup

I wouldnt rule out other groups either

Gay Guys Café (18-35) (Dublin, Ireland) | Meetup

Wet and Wild Sports & Social Club (Dublin, Ireland) | Meetup

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? Hey OP, aside from the dating apps like HER and Tinder, the only two groups running post-pandemic at a frequent level are the two below.

You need to download the Meet Up app to join both groups. Comment in the discussion section of the first group linked to be added to the WhatsApp group of it as well.

90% of the group are aged between 30-40 in both, with many having come out later in life. Meetups include museum visits, coffee, bar nights, hiking, etc.
