    Hi Folks

I have an old cottage that needs to be re felted and re tiled. Timbers are good. It's about 40 feet long with usual cottage style apex roof.

I will be getting some quotes but just wondering if anyone has and idea of rough cost. ( I want to prepare myself 😀)

    Thanks.

Did you get this work done? how much did it cost?

I've got a similar question, my house is a 132sqm bungalow. I've been quoted 23,000e for new felt, batons, and using the existing tiles. It sounds a bit steep to me. I'd appreciate any ideas on this.

    Thanks

That's about 7 person days of tiling, plus about a thousand for felt and battens, plus a couple of days ? to strip the existing roof.

Ten person days work at most for 22k?
