Hi All we are looking to travel to La Baume campsite in France and the surrounding area for 3 weeks in July. 10 days will be in the campsite but we have never visited that area before, but have been to Sanguli in Spain last year and loved it. Kids will be 12 and 13 at the time.Has anyone any advice or recomendations prior to us booking it? it seems really nice but would love to hear from boardies if anyone has visited. We are planing on flying and possibly renting a car for the other 10 days when we are not on the campsite.

    any advice would be welcomed

Haven’t been before but just booked 10 days in early July similar to yourselves…

Flying into Nice and thinking of getting Train to Frejus and maybe taxi or Uber to campsite. There is a train station beside Nice airport. As for things to do, Nice and Monte Carlo are possible day trips, we’ve done both before and are nice, possibly Cannes too, though haven’t been there before

Stayed in the general area before

With a car you can explore all along the coast - Frejus, St. Raph, St. Tropez, Nice, Cannes or up to Monaco

There's a big lake inland (Lac de Saint-Cassien) with activities like pedalos - https://leclubnautique.fr/

When we were there we stayed at Camping Esterel and did an organised coach trip up to Monaco which saved a lot of hassle
