Roof MTB carrier recommendations

Hello everyone,

Can you recommend roof bike carrier to carry MTB 29er wheel size?

I will be using it to travel long distances.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but I have this for a 29er. Never a problem, even at motorway speeds in high wind. Solid as a rock and have used multiple diff sized bikes on it.

Just mind the height restriction at the motorway toll booths...... fairly sure I was very close one time...

But you'd also want the roof bars, depending on your car, so it all adds up to be expensive... (I got everything a few years back on sale).

I can't use the proride on my full suspension 26er as the linkage gets in the way. fine on hardtails. use an old fork mount rack for that as it's quick release.

just something to keep in mind depending on the bike.

To explain my situation, I need to be able to carry 6 bikes, I have a towbar bike carrier that can carry 4. I also have roof bars installed in my van. I am looking to carry the other 2 bikes in the roof.

I'd second this. They are great. I would definitely recommend using them in conjunction with Thule crossbars though. Don't skimp on the crossbars.

Yeah I got the wingbar ones as the original square bars are very noisy at speed.
