I don't think one of these exists yet. I'll post my own later but for now let's hear about your 2023 targets.

Plain & simple, to run consistently once again. Nothing more.

    5k - 19:59. PB is 20:22 set in 2021

    10k - 40:29. PB is 40:51 set in 2022

Half Marathon - 1:31:59. PB is 1:32:07 set in 2022

    Marathon - 3:29:59. PB is 3:39:06 set in 2022.

Marathon is the big one. I went for 3:29 last year and missed, but still got a 2min PB. So need to go for it again in Dublin.

Hopefully at least 2 marathons. I did the Clonakilty half and then another half on my own but not official, so these will be my first.

I have entered 3 1/2s and a 10 miler so far this year, I will hopefully finish 5 minutes quicker than last years times.

I developed a knee pain during my last 2 runs end of last year and have to give training a rest which is eating into my time before the first half middle of feb.

Hoping to do my first ever full marathon. No time in mind, just want to do it.

Had a decent year last year, apart from Covid and a couple of niggles that got in the way and want to build on that. Pb in all the below (from a low base admittedly) The marathon was my 1st.

    5k pb 19:55 targeting 19:40

    10k pb 42:55 targeting 41:59

    10mile 74:51 targeting 70:00

half marathon pb 1:41:15 targeting 1:39:59

    Marathon pb 3:39.01 targeting 3:29:59.

Run one decent cross country race, ie one I’m happy with how I’ve run. I’ve done 3 to date and have made a mess of all 3. Next time I’ll run my own race (he says yet again).

I want to do a couple of track events in the shorter distances and try out a couple of field events but it’s a big step mentally. No hiding in those events, just have to bit the bullet.

Whoops. Sorry SB. I was thinking the same today but started a thread in the main forum. I don't visit the events sub-forum as often so didn't spot this.

Maybe a kind moderator could merge both threads please.

I didn't even realise I had put it in the events sub forum. Feck. Hopefully they get merged in the main page. It doesn't belong in this sub forum.

Took the OP to mean target races rather than overall goals.

    On that basis mine are..

    Bohermeen half

    Bob Heffernan 5k

One of either Dunshaughlin or race series 10k

    Amsterdam marathon

Break any of my PBs basically and stay relatively injury-free! I'd say the 10-mile is the most likely one I'll beat, mainly because that was one of the only 10-mile races I've done, and it was back in 2017. All the other PBs are from 2022 and 2021. I'd love to get the Half-Marathon and Marathon PBs down to closer to the 1:30/3:30 mark, that will be a challenge.

    Current PBs:

    5k 19:46

    10k 41:44

    10 miles 1:21:32

    Half-Marathon 1:34:14

    Marathon 3:34:20

Second half of the year was a disaster for many different reasons. Improved the marathon and half marathon times inside targets early on. Didn’t manage to get a 10 mile done 19:57 for the 5k and nowhere close on the 10k.

No marathon next year so big plans/ goals for next year.
