    the higher it goes the better,the less alcohol consumed,the less misery caused

    Really? Or will problem drinkers just drink more at home where the misery is caused?

    This is clear corporate greed. It's even in their H1 financial statement where they tell stakeholders that they had already factored in and negated the 'inflationary pressures' they are now blaming for increasing the price and like Heineken have seen operating profits soar throughout the year up 26% on last year. They profits will be up again this year.

    The dole increased by €12 a week at the start of January, anyone down on their luck won't feel it.
