    This a question for the good folks on boards that are a lot more knowledgeable than I.

    So my daughter was in the UK at the weekend.

    She left her phone in the back of her grandfathers car on the way to the airport.

    No problem, we'll get them to post it over.

    Just after getting a call from her grandfather asking about the value of the phone.

    Are we going to get hit with customs tax when he is just returning her own property?
