Building work between St Patrick's Garrison Church and the Department of Defence building

Does anyone know what is being built in Renmore between St Patrick's Garrison Church and the Department of Defence building (off Lakeshore Drive road). The building that used to be there has been knocked (I think it used to the an army cadet training college) and there are pretty deep excavations dug.

No, not close enough t rail line. Difficult to find on galwaycity.ie - seems to be very many files you would have to open and search. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Thanks. I don't think that is it - that looks to be more an application for work at the actual Department of Defence building i.e. to convert some of the green area around the building to surface car parking. The building work going on now looks to be more substantial than car parking - though in fairness, I'm no expert in this area.

Passed it earlier, definitely not just car parking. There's an entrance slightly further down the hill with gravel out to the road edge which I'd say is the car parking bit.

Unauthorised development on State land? *shocker*
