Had anybody here purchased it had any dealings with failte solar. Contemplating buying a sofar hybrid off then but bank transfer as only option makes me weary

I think they're only dealing with trade customers at the moment because of demand. I was looking at them a while back but there didn't seem to be any way to buy anything without a trade account

I tried to register an account a few months back and got a verification phone call the next morning to confirm I was an installer and not a member of the public.

Have bought off them before and all good. Couldn’t get an account but were willing to deal with me as a once off

I'd personally avoid them. I contacted them about installing some panels (I live 30 minutes from Shannon so a gimme for them) and they weren't the least bit interested. As soon as they realised I knew pricing and couldn't be BS'd they didn't bother. I very much got the impression they'd be happy to sell you stuff but I'd be very concerned about any support in case of issues. Just my personal feeling on it....

And anyone who only takes bank transfers... in the 21st century? Draw your own conclusions....

Found it interesting who does the website too: "Developed and Managed by WeblinkIndia.NET"

And their one and only reviewer is someone based in the UAE... https://uk.trustpilot.com/users/60d33827f61b780019bf7253

Just something doesn't feel right to me about the setup.. but maybe I'm just being cynical :)

I used them before, called in person and bought 16 panels there and then, delivered to my house following week, no issue. Didn’t know they did installs, thought supply only

Just to update this as purchased a 6kw sofar hybrid from failte solar. They do sell trade only but are willing to do some individual sales. Bank transfer is only part not overly impressed at but hassle free collection from there today for me.

Trade companies deal in bank transfer only, this would be the norm as all invoices would normally be settled through bank transfer.

If the company has a Customer counter (and not Trade Counter only) then they will accept cr card

I'm in accounts and we don't accept Cr Card, haven't done so in many many years, same as we won't accept a cheque
