Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have an electric Vehicle. It is not a bike but its also not a car. It's perfect for me do for the short journeys I do.

The thing is reading up on the rules of the road it's either geared towards an ICE Car or an ICE bike.

My machines drives more like an ice bike but an ice bike has a clutch. My machine does not so why should I need to know where the clutch and gears of an ice bike are when I will never drive one?

This needs to be changed to have a section for electric cars and bikes too.

Also just lessons for driving electrics bikes and trikes.

    Can these be got anywhere?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

    Hi,

EVs are I would assume are just treated as automatics. Do your test in one and your licence will be stamped, "78" (Restricted to vehicles with automatic transmission).

Or perhaps "79" (Restricted to vehicles which comply with the specifications indicated in brackets) - (battery only😁).

As for driving lessons, unless you can find a driving school with an EV, then the driving instructor will give you driving leessons in your own car - no big deal.

Do hope you have taken lessons with a qualified instructor before you ventured out on public roads.

Irrespective what a motorist drives they must know thw rules of the road and also the basic mechanics of the actual vehicle they drive. Hence the quick oral and the car technical checks in the driving test.

Methinks it's not an eCar the OP is in possession of.
