    Hi Folks

Just wondering has anyone painted bathroom tiles in the shower area, and if so, what did you use and did the paint hold? I'd love to freshen up our bathroom in a recently bought house but we are a bit away from doing a complete overhaul.

    Thanks!

Painting tiles when they're being regularly soaked in water is only ever gonna be temporary solution to making them look better. A thorough cleaning and re-grouting might be a better option.

Pvc panels would be a good idea. Painting is a disaster. It'll end up looking worse in 3 months.

Paint won't last in a shower area, will look worse in no time. Grosfillex panels maybe? not that expensive, easy to do and can put on over the tiles.

We also debated painting vs panels and went with panels in the end. Five years on and we are happy with our decision. Very easy to look after too, a spray and a wipe does the job.
