Anyone else read the thread title and immediately think of The Word with Terry Christian and Amanda de Cadenet?

I was watching the show "The Chase" a few weeks back and one question was to choose the word for a superior/manager who only shows their face when something goes wrong and, typically, only ends up making the problem worse.

I spent ages trying to find the word and it kills me as I know so many of them at work.
