Window adjustment

    How to adjust this window. Gap at bottom is narrow on the vertical edge. Catching the frame. Munster joinery

    Other than reinstalling the hinge slightly right of where it is now there isn't adjustment on those hinges that I know of. Most likely it's seasonal expansion of the vertical due to the internal humidity levels. See if you can reduce the RH internally and it might dry out a little, but other than that you might have to plane it along that sticking side.

    Moving the hinge right as I suggested is a pain as you only need ~2mm of movement and as the screw-holes are already there, it won't be easy to do.

    You can't adjust those hinges. I'd be inclined to suspect that the hinges have been 'bent' slightly and this is the reason it's not seating correctly. This is what happened to my shower window, some corrosion meant that it became stiff, so much so that I bent the hinge while trying to force the window closed.

    On your second photo you can see three separate flat metal pieces connected to the opening part of the window, 2 short and 1 long. Check that the long one is not bent or buckled.

    Put loads of WD40 on the sliding mechanism.
