    Hey all,

Just curious about the plate (county) that's given when you send a car in for VRT at a center:

If you're living in say Cork and have your registered address in Cork but you take the car to the center in Dublin and have it registered there, will the car be issued a D reg as it's physical registered in Dublin, or will they instead register it as a C reg for Cork (as it's your registered address)?

    Thanks in advance!

It will be where your address is.

You can always swap it for a ZV at a later stage if you wish.

Time for me to look at a friend in Dublin getting it registered there!

Change your mobile phone billing address to a friend in Dublin and that should be fine

If you care about a D or C on your reg plate then you are obviously a bit picky, so just letting you know if you do go for a D reg there will most likely be 1 or 2 extra numbers on the registration
