Problem with storage heater in apartment controlled by Devireg

Storage heaters in apartment controlled by Devireg 710-2, rail mounted unit in MCB board in apartment. All working fine up to 2 days ago, all heaters stopped working, no power to heaters either day or night. The Devireg has a connection which tells it when night rate applies, this is supplied from a mechanical timeswitch located on the meter board which is in the common area in the apartment block hallway. The timeswitch appears to be faulty, but it has an ESB seal on it.

Is there a way to "fool" the Devireg to turn on even when it's not getting any signal from the timeswitch?

Who is responsible for fixing? is it the Apartment block management co. or the ESB? What are the chances of getting ESB to fix this over a bank holiday weekend??

It's probably not allowed as it's in a CU, but 2 and 4 appear to be the incoming Live from the DN meter.

Start with a local electrician and let him diagnose the device.

Ya the heaters won't come on without the off-peak feed to 2,4

Has the clock stopped? Sounds like it

Is this a common time clock ? Are other apartments affected ?

Thanks 10-10-20, I had accessed the manual online already. Thanks Kirk, it is a common time clock, clock seems to be stopped. Contacted one other apartment occupier, but the're away, others dont seem to be up yet this morning....

The Devi manual refers to turning control (b) to Const, as a TEST ONLY. Would this turn on the heaters? if so would this cause any problems?

No, you can't bring on the heaters with the dials, the contactor is fed from the off-peak feed

I guess I would probably go straight to ESBN if the clock is stopped ? Not sure on that one

Neighbours should be able to confirm heating is off
