Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

    Hi.

    Got some spreadsheets that have cells with information stored in the comments. Is there a formula/function that I can use which will extract the text from the comment and populate it into a cell?

    There is too much to undertake manually.

    Thanks.

    DId you find a function @funkey_money?

    If not you can add a macro/function that does it

    REM Example to read a cells comments
    Function myReadComment(incell As Variant) As String
    		myReadComment = ThisComponent.CurrentController.ActiveSheet.getCellRangeByName(incell).getAnnotation().getString()
    End Function

    To use it to get the comments of cell A1 use

    =myReadComment("A1")

    @croo - no I didn't, but thanks for that. I'll store it off for next time.
