2 PS5s in the same house query

    Hi,

My son just got a PS5 for Christmas - I already have one.

Previously, when he had a PS4, we were both able to use the same PSN account and play at the same time. Now however when he starts a PS5 game it kicks me out and vice versa.

Is there anyway around this issue? I have tried googling but have not managed to figure anything out.

    Have separate accounts.

If we have separate accounts, can my son play any PSN games or play online?

    He mostly plays FIFA.

Do you or he have PS+?

If only you, put your account on his PS5, it will give him access to PS+ via your account when he uses his new account.

Be aware though, by creating a new account, he loses stats/progress/saves and friends list from the shared account.

He will be starting from scratch.

Yes, it's just me who has the PS+.

    I will try that thanks.

I think he can use the PS4 version of FIFA for now, so he will still have his stats/progress.

He can start a new account for his next game.

Another advantage of physical games unless you both want to play the same game at the same time.

Edit ... This query is for online play ... Ignore 😴
