    Hi,

Went to the attic and misstepped between the beams. Seems the ceiling bend a bit and some material came off. Approx the size of my hand and 2mm deep.

    How to fill this?

My idea was polyfilla and overpaint it. My wife thinks the whole panel needs replacement.

Peel off any loose plaster, fill with appropriate filler, sand down level and paint. No drama about replacing anything unless you have bent the board and it's obviously drooping. Personally I don't like Polyfilla, I use lightweight filler (also called spackling by some) - very easy to get right, sets fast and easy to sand down level. Don't try to fill too deep in one go - couple of mm's at a time works best.
