    Hi guys,

I have recently just imported my 1999 BMW 318is and currently having issues looking for insure. I have had my full license for about a year and will have one year no claim in January. Every I have called said that I that the vehicle is too old to insure. If I went with renewing my policy with AXA they gave me a premium of 5000 which is too much considering it's a 1.9L petrol. Does anyone know any crowd that would be able to insure me or any other legal ways around getting insured. I’m 20 years old

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Thanks

Did you try Liberty? Apart from the headache to transfer my NCD from the Netherlands, even without no claim my premium would already have been a lot lower for my LHD Alfa Romeo 3.2 GT from 2004 (which is also older than the apparent cut-off point of 15 years when all cars just fall apart according to Irish insurers), that I brought with me when moving here earlier this year.

The AA gave a quote that was even a lot lower, until they found out that it was LHD (even though I had filled that out on the original online form 🙄 ), but I don't know how they feel about a limited NCD. They weren't concerned about the age of the car.
