Suggestions for family holiday England/Wales July 2023

    Hi all,

This is in relation to a family holiday for myself, my wife, and son aged 9, for first week of July 2023. We were in Legoland Windsor a few years ago and young lad wants to go again, so we're going to take the ferry from Rosslare (only about a half hour drive from us) to Fishguard/Pembroke and drive across. Probably two days in the park there.

Looking for suggestions for where else to go/what else to do for three to four days either end of that, without taking too much of a detour from what's basically the M4 across Wales/England. There's the obvious thing of somehow heading into London for a few nights, and we might just do that, but am seeking alternative suggestions too.

Thinking myself we could do worse than a few days in West Wales, but my wife thinks it would be too much like a holiday here in Wexford (apart from how it would obviously be at the other side of the channel!). Would be grateful for any other suggestions.

Activities/attractions for the young lad are a must. Wife and I would enjoy a few days' relaxation somewhere like Bath, but think the young lad would be bored.

    Thanks in advance.
