Trying to extend CT clamp

CT clamp is located at the fuse board, Solis inverter is located beside the fuse board.

The car charger is located beside and wired into the the ESB box so I am trying to extend the CT clamp to the ESB box so that I will be able ti use the battery to charge the car over the summer months.

I ran a Cat5 cable (Approx 20min length) last Saturday and connected the CT clamp to the Cat5 Cable using a twisted pair and then back to the Acrel meter but no joy, can confirm the cable is unbroken.

Anyone here got any ideas

How did you connect the CT clamp to the Cat5? solder, twisted together?

You can extend way past 20m so that is not the issue, there's always the chance the Cat5 cable was faulty

I have the cat 5 extending mine by about 40m. I did use a pair of the cat 5 wires for each cable of the ct just to be on the safe side. Just twisted with connector like this over it…

Actually tried again this morning, made new connections turned and no joy. Turned out to be a bad pair.
