Hi all. Il say good morning even tho it's 10.30am.

    Hope all is well.

    I have question please..

I have a fireplace. It's got back boiler heating only the copper tank (taps). & this hasn't been used this yr or probably not last, but I do brush it every yr twice incase I do go ahead & use, & then it wouldn't be a belter.

It's built with stone. There was an old stone shed in garden many yr ago. Some of the stone was used to build the fireplace.

I'd say about 4 - 6 inch wide & most the stones are about 2 inch thick & thicker, but there could be a few that are 1 inch thick.

I'm not sure what stones they are...ie.. sand / lime / or...

I've to take it mostly down to remove old back boiler, so I can put a stove (boiler) in (free standing).

I'm just trying to get some idea of my finished look, & I would really like to use the stone that I have.

    Would this stone be ok.?

You may ask why free standing..

I got a few friends with these & even when the fire is long dead the heat from the stove is still plentiful. & I'd say with the cassette a lot of heat is trapped inside the hole (will I call it).

    Is my stone ok.?

    Thanks folk.

    Talk to you later.
