Planning permission and approval was given way back in 2013 to build fish ladders so seatrout and salmon could pass freely up this wonderful river but it seems to have stalled.

Could Dublin county council or whoever is looking after this very important project not publish an update on exactly what is happening on this as thousands of nature loving anglers like myself are waiting with baited breath for this project to finally get underway.

what a joy it will be to see salmon and seatrout swim to the upper reaches of the river and spawn.

That’ll be a site to behold and celebrate. I hope I get to see it.
